Recreation Fees & Information
U-6 $110 plus a $100 per family volunteer fee
U-7, U-8 $140 plus a $100 per family volunteer fee
U-10, U-12 $160 plus a $100 per family volunteer fee
U-14, U-16, U-19 $180 plus a $100 per family volunteer fee
A $75 late fee will be added to anyone not fully registered (all paperwork and fees) by May 1, 2013 .
Registration fees cover the following costs:
1. City and School District field use fees (currently $10.00 per player)
2. CYSA or US Club / Active Network or Demosphere Registration fees (currently 25.00 per player)
3. League admin. costs (clubhouse, computers, phone, fax, advertising, paper, etc.)
4. General equipment (pennies, practice equipment, balls, etc.)
5. General field equipment and maintenance costs (initial field set-up, paint, nets, etc.)
6. Field repairs for excessive wear and tear
7. Referee costs
8. Uniforms
9. Basic picture package (5x7 team & 3x5 individual)
10. Director of coaching
11. Capital equipment replacement

Volunteer Fees
BYSL assesses a $100 league participation (volunteer) fee in an effort to encourage families to provide their time and support in operating the league. Active participation helps us to keep our registration fees as low as possible.
League participation fees paid are not refundable. However, if the player continues to play soccer the fees will be carried over to the next season, provided the required participation commitment is fulfilled in that particular season. Families with one player in the league are required to perform a minimum of 6 hours of league approved volunteer work. Families with two or more players in the league are required to perform a minimum of 8 hours of league approved volunteer work. Families who receive financial aid from the league are required to perform a minimum of 12 hours of league approved volunteer work.
Again, please understand volunteer fees are not refundable. In addition, no partial credit for hours worked will be allowed.
Please note that additional volunteer hours may be required for competitive team families who participate in Benicia tournaments.
Financial Aid
There are some financial aid opportunities available. Financial aid requests are available on this site under financial aid.
Families who do not perform a minimum of 12 hours of league approved volunteer work for the season in which they receive the financial aid will not be eligible for financial aid in the future.
Refund Policy
If a registration fee refund is requested before June 1st, all (100%) of the registration fees if the player decides not to participate in the BYSL during the season.
If a registration fee refund is requested on or after June 1st, but before July 1st, seventy-five (75%) of the registration fees will be refunded if the player decides not to participate in the BYSL during the season.
If a registration fee refund is requested on or after July 1st, but before August 1st, fifty (50%) of the registration fees will be refunded if the player decides not to participate in the BYSL during the season.
ALL REFUND REQUESTS WILL BE DENIED ON OR AFTER AUGUST 1st
Late fees, fundraising monies, and volunteer / participation fees are non-refundable.
