Benicia Arsenal F.C is proud to congratulate our U19 Girls Team on bringing home the 2012 CYSA North State Cup Championship. The team that originally formed eight years ago has worked long and hard in order to achieve their ultimate target of winning a state championship. The final that took place on April 28, 2012 at Bartholomew Field in Elk Grove saw the Arsenal Girls defeat Hayward Chaos in a fiercely contested game, which saw the Gold and Black run out victorious 3 -0. Benicia Arsenal F.C would like to congratulate Hayward for playing a great game and for their competitive spirit, which made for a fantastic final. Our girls have advanced to the US Youth Soccer Region IV Championship (Far West Regional’s) held in Phoenix, Arizona on June 18 2012. We would like to wish them all the very best of luck and look forward to reporting on their travels.

 During camp week players will have the chance to work on Defending , Dribbling , Shooting , Turning , Moves to beat players , Juggling skills as well as have the chance to work on thier speed and agility - The importance of Teamwork , Good sportsmanship and leadership will also be integrated to the camp week along with the opportunity to play small sided games.

 2012 BENICIA ARSENAL F.C ACADEMY U8/U9 Boys & Girls

The Benicia Arsenal F.C Academy is a supplementary program to our in House Recreational Soccer season.

Training on passing, shooting, dribbling and defending takes place for 7 weeks prior to the start of House season and three weeks post season, potentially including a tournament. The platinum membership also includes an extra training session on Fridays during regular House season.

Benicia Arsenal FC Director of Coaching Alex Lobban and his professional staff will run the Academy program; each Academy player will receive instruction from a well-qualified trainer and a Benicia Arsenal F.C Academy T-shirt.

This is ideal for those players who aspire to play traveling soccer in the future at U9 and beyond and to learn new skills and techniques to become a better soccer player.

 Post regular House season - November 16^th, 23rd, 30th - Friday’s 4.00 pm - 5.30 pm @ BCP

$90 for Gold membership (Fridays outside of House season)

The Arsenal U16 Boys advanced in the California Youth Soccer Association state tournament last weekend by winning their preliminary flight.  On Saturday the team began with a scoreless tie against an aggressive team from the Fresno area.  The next day on Sunday the Arsenal boys registered a win against the Folsom Rangers by a score of 4-0.  Later that afternoon the boys scored two goals in the closing minutes in a 2-0 victory over a Santa Rosa team.  Preliminary competition ended with the Arsenal boys not giving up a single goal while scoring six.

This impressive showing comes on the heels of the team winning the highly competitive CYSA East Bay Bronze Fall League which featured strong teams from soccer powerhouses Mustang, Ballistic, Fremont, San Ramon, and Dublin among others.  The Arsenal boys claimed the league championship by winning 11 games and losing only one while notching 44 goals for and only 14 against. 

The CYSA state competition continues this coming weekend at noon in Elk Grove with the team taking on the Santa Rosa Turfbreakers, winner of the Sacramento Metro League first division.  The Arsenal boys faced the Turfbreakers in two of this past summer’s tournaments, defeating the Turfbreakers 3-1 and losing to them 2-0 so the team expects a close and hard fought match.
