RECREATIONAL PROGRAM
Benicia Arsenal Futbol Club’s Recreational Soccer League is where the love for the game begins. With over 600 players each season, it’s our most popular program—and for good reason. Over the course of an exciting 10-game season, players of all ages and skill levels grow not only as athletes but as teammates and friends. Our fun, safe, and supportive environment encourages every player to build confidence, develop soccer skills, and most importantly, discover the joy of the game
The season begins in early August and runs through mid-November. Each team will have two practices weekly and will be coached by volunteer coaches, who will utilize age appropriate training methods. Coaches will be supported by our Techicial Directors, who will provide the necessary education so that your player has the best possible soccer experience.
Registration is available for players between 5-18 years of age.
PROGRAM INFORMATION
- Registration fees are based on your player’s age group.
- The season runs from August through mid-November, with practices beginning in August.
- Teams typically consist of 10–15 players, though exact size depends on the number of registrations.
- You will be contacted with details once teams are formed in late July.
- Teams generally have two practices per week, held in the late afternoons or early evenings.
- Games are played on Saturdays, with game times varying throughout the day.
- Uniforms are included with your registration fee.
We rent fields from the City of Benicia and the Benicia Unified School District. Occasionally, fields may close due to weather—especially when waterlogged—which can result in canceled practices or games. Rescheduling depends on field availability and timing within the season.

There is no late registration where a player is automatically added to a team. This is just a WAITING LIST. Players will only be added to a team, to complete a roster, if a vacancy exists.

CLUB FEES
BAFC charges a Club participation fee in an effort to encourage families to provide their time and support in operating the Club. Active participation helps us to keep our registration fees as low as possible. Club fees are paid at the time of registration and will be refunded provided that the required volunteer commitment is confirmed.
